Road bike tour to the Attersee

The Attersee tour is one of our most beautiful lake tours, especially recommended during the week. The beautifully blue lake with drinking water quality never fails to enchant. We start in Fuschl am See and reach the famous view of Lake Wolfgangsee directly to St. Gilgen. From St. Gilgen, the route continues in small waves, past the Krottensee lake, via a fantastic descent in the forest to the crystal-clear Mondsee lake. A small road leads us further along the Mondsee through an illuminated cycle tunnel. We finally reach a crossroads along the Mondsee with small bathing areas and turn right towards Attersee. We now keep to the right of Lake Attersee and cycle round it on a mostly flat road. On the northern shore in Seewalchen we stop for a coffee and a delicious cake in the café at the marina.

After the circumnavigation, we cycle back the way we came: briefly along the Mondsee, through the cycle tunnel and then with two climbs from Mondsee to St. Gilgen and from St. Gilgen back to Fuschl. The climbs are not steep, but they are a bit long, so you should have saved up a little energy for them.
